Job Description

The Junior Fashion Designer will support the design team in developing garment collections inspired by market trends, client preferences, and seasonal themes. Your role will involve creating new designs, preparing tech packs, coordinating samples, and providing day-to-day design assistance in a dynamic garment manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for assisting in the creation of new designs for various garment segments, conducting market research, preparing mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sampling and merchandising teams, update design files and documentation, and participate in fittings to implement feedback effectively. To excel in this role, you should hold a Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design/Apparel Technology, with at least 2 years of experience in the garment/fashion industry. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and familiarity with tech pack creation and design software tools are essential technical skills. Creativity, attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, time management, and adaptability are key soft skills required for this position. Experience in export houses or apparel production units, understanding of buyer requirements and compliance for export roles are preferred qualifications. This is a full-time position with day shifts, requiring in-person work at the Chennai location.,
