Job Description

As a Factory Manager, also known as a Production Manager, your role will involve overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing facility to ensure efficient operations, maintain quality standards, and comply with safety regulations. You will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and various operational processes within the factory. Your key responsibilities will include: Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and company goals. Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards and implement measures to control and maintain quality. Cost Management: Manage and control production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop budgets to optimize resources. Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate factory staff including production employees, assemblers, and equipment operators. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and implement safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support timely production and delivery. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless operations and meet customer requirements. Performance Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement in production processes and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records and reports for both internal and external use. Negotiation with Suppliers: Engage in negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective solutions for the factory. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address and resolve production issues and conflicts that may arise within the factory. Continuous Improvement: Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall factory performance. Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations to maintain ethical and legal standards.
