Job Purpose The Factory Foreman is responsible for supervising daily factory operations, ensuring production tasks are executed efficiently, maintaining team discipline, and following safety and quality standards. The role includes work allocation, progress tracking, conflict resolution, and reporting to the Project In-Charge or Engineer. Key Responsibilities 1. Supervision & Work Allocation Study and understand work orders before execution. Follow instructions provided by supervisors and ensure adherence to guidelines. Allocate tasks to workers and ensure deadlines are met. Monitor team performance against set standards and recognize high performers. Ensure work is progressing according to the plan and timelines. 2. Team Leadership & Motivation Set clear team goals and ensure they are achieved collectively. Motivate team members and encourage productivity. Address workers concerns, resolve disputes, and escalate critical matters to higher management. Act as the main liaison between workers and Project In-Charge/Engineer. 3. Production & Quality Control Ensure proper execution of the production process. Conduct quality checks on equipment and ensure proper usage. Monitor and control timelines to maintain maximum productivity. Report project progress, including Plan vs. Achieved, to the Project In-Charge/Engineer. 4. Material & Equipment Handling Verify that materials received from the store match the Material Requisition Order (MRO). Ensure proper stacking of goods for easy access and safety compliance. Maintain neatness and discipline on the shop floor. Ensure the proper packing and loading of finished goods. 5. Safety & Compliance Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) and factory induction sessions regularly. Ensure team members follow safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices for efficient workflow.
