Job Description

As an experienced EXA DBA working on-prem, you will be responsible for providing DBA operational support with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service, leveraging your technical expertise, and ensuring timely resolutions to issues. Your primary objective will be to maintain and optimize Oracle databases through proficient use of Oracle Performance Tuning tools and strong analytical skills. You will actively engage in addressing technical architecture requirements within Oracle solutions, collaborating closely with the Lead and team to address any Oracle database issues that may arise. Additionally, you will interface with Enterprise Architecture and Infosec teams to adhere to company and industry-specific standards. Your role will require a solid foundation in Infrastructure knowledge encompassing Compute, Network, Storage, Security, and HA/DR. Familiarity with Oracle appliances such as Exadata and a desired knowledge of ZFS/ZDLRA will be beneficial. You will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on Proof-of-Concept projects to showcase the capabilities of proposed solutions. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to create Architecture diagrams, High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and document overall solutions. Collaboration with infrastructure teams, troubleshooting, and ensuring software consistency across the Oracle landscape will be key aspects of your role. You will actively contribute to the IT Change Management process, validating and approving all Oracle database-related changes. Staying updated on new developments and trends in database technology, providing input and support for new projects, and engaging directly with Oracle for product support will be integral to your responsibilities. Your ability to define solutions, identify requirements, write functional specifications, and consult with technical subject matter experts will be crucial in your role. Participation in on-call rotations, weekend maintenance tasks, and offering advice on options, risks, costs, benefits, and impacts on business processes will also be part of your duties. In summary, your role as an EXA DBA will involve providing expert support, ensuring the optimal performance of Oracle databases, actively contributing to technical solutions, and collaborating with various teams to maintain a robust Oracle landscape.,
