Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ETL Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in validating data pipelines, transformations, and ensuring data integrity across multiple sources and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand ETL requirements, source-to-target mappings, and data flow.

• Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios for ETL processes.

• Perform data validation, data comparison, and reconciliation between source and target systems.

• Use SQL queries extensively to verify data accuracy and quality.

• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and developers to resolve defects.

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, HP ALM, or equivalent.

• Contribute to test planning, test strategy, and automation framework improvement.

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ETL/data warehouse testing.

• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries for data validation.

• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.

• Experience with data quality testing and data transformation logic validation.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schema, fact & dimension tables).

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Big Data / Hadoop ecosystems.

• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for test automation.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
