Job Description

The Environmental Laboratory Technician position at our company is a full-time role that requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to conduct laboratory tests and analyses supporting environmental monitoring, quality control, and regulatory compliance. As an Environmental Laboratory Technician, you will work independently and collaboratively to ensure accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include performing routine and specialized environmental testing on various samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols, analyzing data, preparing reports, and using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to track sample data. You will also assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, troubleshooting laboratory-related issues, and participating in training programs related to environmental health and safety (EHS). To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or an Associates degree with relevant experience). Previous experience in an environmental laboratory or a related setting is preferred, along with strong knowledge of chemical and microbiological testing methods, familiarity with environmental regulations and industry standards, and proficiency in using LIMS. You should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities, work well independently and in a team environment, and ideally have certification or training in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
