Job Description
As an Engineer in Control & Instrumentation at Kent, you will play a vital role in the preparation and review of discipline deliverables, which includes drawings, specifications, and datasheets. Your responsibilities will involve calculations for control valves, PSVs, flow meters, and thermo wells. Additionally, you will be required to work on control system specification and system architectures, review vendor documents, and quotations for compliance with project requirements, and assist with cost and manpower estimates. It is essential for you to enter instrument database content as per P&IDs. To qualify for this role, you must hold a B. Tech/B.E. or Master's degree in Instrumentation along with 5-10 years of basic and detail engineering experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical industry. You should be well-versed in working with international codes & standards, best engineering practices, and project-specific standards related to Automation. Proficiency in project quality management systems, procedures, and project automation deliverables is expected. Communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial for this role. You should exhibit core competencies such as integrity, excellence, and work standards. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach are essential. A strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills, client focus, teamwork, planning, organizing, problem analysis, and resolution are key behavioral competencies expected from you. You should be proficient in using software tools such as SmartPlant Instrumentation, 3D model review, Instrucalc, Flowel, or any other instrument sizing software, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Adherence to Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) rules is mandatory. You are responsible for observing all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and actively participating in maintaining a safe workplace. This position is based in Mumbai or Vadodara and does not require relocation. Travel may be required as per job demands. The role is permanent and requires 5 to 10 years of experience in the field.
