We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Service Technician with a strong foundation in electronics, electrical, automation, or mechanical disciplines. This multifaceted role combines hands-on technical field service with a strong focus on sales and business development within the heavy industry sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support while also driving sales for our specialized projects, engineering consultancy services, and spare parts division. Key Responsibilities: Technical Service & Support: Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair IT, automation, and electrical systems at client sites within heavy industries (e.g., manufacturing, mining, power generation, steel, cement). Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Provide prompt and effective technical support, both remotely and on-site, to resolve customer issues. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including plant managers, maintenance heads, and procurement teams. Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, providing valuable insights and recommendations. Gather market and customer information to provide feedback on buying trends to the management team. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed service reports, site visit reports, and field data in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project pipelines using the company's CRM system. Create documentation and standard operating procedures for an internal knowledge base. Qualifications and Skills: Required: Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering. Proven hands-on experience as a Service Technician, Field Engineer, or a similar technical role. Demonstrable experience or strong aptitude for technical sales and customer-facing interactions. Prior experience working with or selling to clients in heavy industries is highly advantageous. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Superior communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
