Job Title: Engineering Lead / Architect Experience: 6+ years Location: On-site Company: VoiceOwl Were seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Responsibilities Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations) Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases Qualifications 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect role Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferably cloud-native, microservices) Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally Python is a plus). Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring,
