As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for having a good understanding of manufacturing processes and designing electrical/mechanical parts to drive evaluation of costs. You will need to understand electrical/metals/plastics/additive manufacturing processes and cost derivatives. Additionally, you should have knowledge of Should Costing, Zero-based, parametric cost modeling, and cost benchmarking. Your role will involve learning and applying value engineering tools/analysis and templates to ensure consistency across all efforts during agile cost sprint execution. Collaboration with various functional stakeholders is essential to gather inputs for building should cost models. You will be implementing Value Engineering activities for cost reduction/optimization using DFM/A tool and developing cost models for different unconventional manufacturing setups for quick cost reference using costing tool/software. Presenting project insights in a simple and effective manner through Microsoft PPT to support supplier negotiations and guide critical business decisions will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will conduct tear-downs of different commodity products, identify materials and manufacturing processes, and create Bills of Materials (BOM). It is crucial that you can read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Requirements: - An Engineering degree (or equivalent knowledge) with a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Professional expertise and a proven track record of successfully applying knowledge to ensure project success. Preferred Qualifications: - Self-starter with efficient work methods, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented team environment. - Excellent interpersonal skills to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. - Innovative thinker with the ability to envision new and improved ways of doing things. - Strong analytical skills, effective planning, organization, and implementation of concurrent tasks. - Experience in an FDA-regulated or regulated industry would be beneficial.,
