Job Description

As an Engineer Linux Firmware at Eaton in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in the software development efforts by designing and implementing high-performance firmware based on Linux. Your responsibilities will include defining structured software solutions, translating business features into technical requirements, working directly with stakeholders to create high-quality products, and developing and executing plans for project delivery. You will also be required to author unit-tested code, work with the test team to ensure software quality metrics, and provide software re-use opportunities. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in C, C++, and Linux-based firmware applications on microcontrollers. Experience in industrial Ethernet protocols and knowledge of Linux (Driver, Kernel), API-based frameworks, or SDK will be beneficial. Additionally, you should have experience in developing industrial fieldbus communication protocols, RTOS platforms, addressing cyber-security requirements, and working with Agile teams and tools like JIRA and BitBucket. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational leadership abilities, and the capability to manage multiple projects and resolve issues efficiently.
