Job Description

As a Senior Identity Automation Engineer at Cvent's Enterprise Services team, you will play a crucial role in driving our identity and access management (IAM) automation initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement automation solutions for identity lifecycle management using Python and modern IAM tools. Additionally, you will lead technical integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on identity system consolidation. You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining identity synchronization workflows across multiple platforms and directories. Your expertise will be utilized to develop self-service tools and automated processes that streamline access management. Furthermore, you will create and maintain infrastructure as code for identity-related AWS resources, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Collaboration with security teams to implement and automate identity governance controls will be a key aspect of your role. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in identity automation within the team. To excel in this role, you should possess strong expertise in Okta administration and API development. Demonstrated experience with identity provider (IdP) integration and federation, advanced Python programming skills, and extensive experience with AWS services, particularly IAM, Directory Service, and related security services are essential. A track record of successfully managing identity integration during M&A activities, along with a strong understanding of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and related authentication protocols, will be highly beneficial. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, TypeScript/JavaScript development, additional identity providers such as Azure AD, relevant certifications (Okta, AWS), SCIM provisioning and automation, as well as knowledge of privileged access management (PAM) solutions will be advantageous in this role. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and security of our identity and access management systems.,
