As an Electrical Designer-Power Generation at Black & Veatch, you will function in a mid-level engineering technician capacity, working under general supervision to create and modify deliverables using electronic applications, standards, and document control processes. Your role will involve providing technical guidance to other engineering technicians and ensuring compliance with engineering standards, systems, and company policies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Continuously learning and staying updated on engineering standards, systems, and departmental guides - Proactively applying knowledge of the Black & Veatch Quality Program to ensure accuracy and compliance of deliverables - Broadening the use of applications to evaluate and improve methods and procedures for deliverables - Coordinating deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors - Focusing on internal client needs and gaining an understanding of external client interests - Seeking and sharing knowledge of latest technologies and processes Preferred qualifications for this role include a Diploma or Certificate, an Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology, and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. You should possess non-technical skills such as problem-solving, time management, and drive for results, as well as technical skills in Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) and basic engineering standards.
