Job Description
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of Architects and ME/EE-Engineers to develop technical solutions that align with the clients" business requirements. Your responsibilities will involve designing power distribution and lighting systems for various industrial and commercial facilities, under the guidance of licensed engineers and experienced designers. You should hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics and have a minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in Electrical panel design. Prior experience in Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical Facilities or Industry Engineering is preferred. Your role will include preparing single line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, and schematics based on technical specifications and customer requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting calculations, selecting motors, drives, AC components, and cables based on application needs and design standards. Furthermore, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and enhancing electrical instruments, equipment, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes. You will also be required to create technical drawings, review specifications of electrical systems, and communicate progress reports to project managers and clients. Familiarity with standards such as UL508A, IEC, and NEMA is essential, along with the ability to produce electrical designs for multi-discipline projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is a must-have skill for this role, and knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and EPlan P8 will be an added advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective interaction with management, clients, and vendors. Moreover, you should possess good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Your responsibilities will include coordinating power utilities, designing 277/480V building services, performing power distribution calculations, selecting motors and drives, and creating design criteria and specifications for electrical equipment. You will also be involved in designing industrial control panels, resolving Change Request Notices and Request for Information, and developing grounding and bonding plans for new equipment.
