The ELV Technician perform skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and

repair on standard low current systems, equipment and components constituted of of

general electronics, telecom, controls, audiovisuals, computerized monitoring and

controls, security and media systems

  • ELV Technician should be able to utilize standard industry tools and

instruments

  • Should be able to perform standard level diagnosis, repairs and installation of

electronic, control, audiovisual and telecommunication systems

  • Should be able to read, trace and apply electrical and electronics drawings
  • Knowledge of the common electrical and electronic accessories, functions and

the usage

  • Should be able to apply drawings to install and assemble and replace

electronic boards and components

  • Should be able to listen to instructions, implement them, guide and mentor

subordinates and transfer knowledge.

Main Duties / Responsibilities8

Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and traces faults in Low Current and ICT circuits

and wiring networks

Maintenance and repair of some or all of the system constituted of PLC and control

panels, telecommunication systems, audiovisual systems, computerized monitoring

and control systems, security and CCTV, access control and miscellaneous electronic

systems.

Repairs electronic boards, do soldering and replace components

Implements electrical and control drawings, tests and commission Low Current and

ICT installations

Use power hand tools and standard industry test instruments

Conducts inspections and NDT on electronic connections, wiring and status of

electronic equipment, panels and accessories

Applies safety procedures and use PPE protection means when working

Preserving punctuality in attendance

Minimum qualifications /

educational levels

required for this position

  • Recognized technician level diploma in electronics, telecom, electrical

controls or related fields.

  • Communication skills in English.

Selection Criteria

  • Proficiency in English
  • Passing a test in Low Current & ICT principles and/or trade test
  • Working skills in O & M projects.
  • Has FM background

  • Background in Operation and Maintenance of building facilities
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills
