Job description: Purpose of the Job The SAP FICO Functional Consultant is responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to meet business requirements. This role involves working closely with finance teams, process owners, and technical teams to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with financial regulations. The overall purpose of this role is to: Design, configure, and maintain SAP FICO solutions to support business processes. Provide expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, and integration with other SAP modules. Lead troubleshooting, enhancements, and system upgrades related to FICO. Ensure compliance with financial standards (GAAP, IFRS, SOX). Optimize financial processes through SAP automation Support critical financial operations (month-end close, audits, reporting) Job Description Operation: Design and implement financial reporting structures, document splitting, and parallel accounting. Support period-end closing activities, financial audits, and tax-related configurations. Develop and maintain financial dashboards, Fiori apps, and custom reports. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Troubleshoot and resolve FICO-related issues, including debugging where necessary. Document functional specifications for custom developments (e.g., interfaces, enhancements). Manage SAP FICO transports and ensure proper change management processes. Customer: Collaborate with finance teams to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions. Conduct end-user training and create training materials. Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations. Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and proactive enhancements. People: Mentor junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer. Work with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, PP) to ensure seamless integration. Lead workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive process improvements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with SD, MM, and PP teams on integration points (e.g., revenue recognition, material valuation). Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom solutions. Liaise with security teams for role-based access controls in FICO. Financial Optimize financial processes to reduce operational costs. Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes within SAP. Job Requirements - Experience and Education Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT. 8+ years of SAP FICO configuration and implementation experience. Strong knowledge of FI-GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CO-PC, and integration with other modules. Experience with S/4HANA Finance is a plus. SAP FICO certification preferred.
