Job Description
As a Sales Manager at our hotel, you will play a crucial role in achieving budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals while maximizing profitability. Your responsibilities will include participating in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, hotel marketing plan, and business plan. Additionally, you will be involved in developing financial plans. Your primary task will be to create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, and boost volume in food and beverage and banquet sales. Producing monthly reports and sales forecasts will be essential to analyze current and potential market trends. You will coordinate activities to enhance revenue and market share, ensuring that actual sales meet or exceed the established revenue plan. Managing day-to-day sales activities, planning and assigning work, and setting performance and development goals for team members will be part of your role. Providing mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance will also be crucial. Developing and nurturing relationships with key clients and external contacts is vital for generating group and convention business. This includes driving room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
