Job Description
As a Diploma Trainee in Electrical Engineering at Wood, you will have the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive training program that combines college-based learning with hands-on technical training. Your role will involve executing assigned tasks according to discipline design instructions, quality plans, and technical procedures under the guidance of supervisors and mentors. During your training, you will be exposed to various aspects of electrical design, including the production of essential deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, General Electrical Equipment Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Hazardous Area Layouts, and Cable Schedules. You will also develop a basic understanding of industry-standard CAD systems like AutoCAD and MicroStation for creating 2-D electrical drawings. Furthermore, you will gain insight into design interface issues with other disciplines, collaborating with the layout/piping group for plant layout, the civil group for electrical equipment supports and cable routing, and the C&I group for plant control systems. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering as an essential requirement.
