Job Description
Mold Design and Fabrication: Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to create detailed mold designs. Select appropriate materials for mold components based on plastic resin and product requirements. Utilize CNC machining equipment to precisely cut and shape mold cavities and cores. Perform manual machining operations like milling, grinding, and polishing to achieve desired surface finishes. Assemble mold components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of molds using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform trial runs on injection molding machines to identify and address any mold defects. Implement corrective actions to rectify issues with mold performance. Maintenance and Repair: Regularly maintain molds by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components. Diagnose and repair mold malfunctions, including fixing damaged cavities, worn ejector pins, or misaligned components. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and production personnel to ensure mold design meets product specifications and production requirements.
