Key Responsibilities: Shift Operations Management: Oversee shift operations in the Die Maintenance area. Achieve area targets with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Suggestions. SOP Implementation and Scaling: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new plant die maintenance areas. Scale up operations effectively while ensuring SOP adherence. Preventive Maintenance: Execute and monitor a preventive maintenance plan for High Pressure Die Casting dies. Ensure timely die preventive checks and corrections are performed. Training & Development: Train new operators and supervisors according to Work Instructions (WIS). Support the development and training of new trainee supervisors. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to die performance on machines. Participate in root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why analysis, PDCA) and cost-saving initiatives. Quality and Measurement: Monitor and improve die-wise and model-wise breakdown percentages. Understand and correct die shape defects and wear-out patterns. Floor Control & Organization: Maintain floor control and adherence to 5s. IATF documentation. Competencies / Skills:Functional / Technical Skills: Die Casting Knowledge: Strong understanding of die casting dies, their construction, elements, and troubleshooting. Die Repair Best Practices: Experience in repairing dies, maintaining die history, and using 3D models for die repairs. Measurement Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret CMM and 3D Measurement reports. Preventive Maintenance: Experience in 4W Die Casting dies and conducting preventive maintenance checks. Behavioral Skills: Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot die non-conformance and breakdowns. Team Collaboration: Ability to work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and improving operations. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Target-Oriented & Flexible: Demonstrated focus on meeting targets while adapting to operational changes. Leadership & Training: Capable of leading and training teams, ensuring compliance with SOPs and best practices. Additional Skills: Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations. Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Ability to lead and participate in PDCA, 5 Why analysis, and cost-saving suggestions.
