A medical coder translates patient information from medical records into standardized codes for billing, insurance reimbursement and data analysis.

A Medical Coders responsibilities include assigning Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM). They will also be required to assign American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA), Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APC) or Diagnosis related groups (DRG) codes.

Skills:

• knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and Physiology.
• Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and other relevant Coding System.
• Analyse medical records, gives relevant information.
• Accuracy in paramount in medical Coding.
• Effective communication is needed to collaborate
• with health providers, insurance companies.

Role

• To review US medical records.
• To review surgical procedures, pre & post-surgical care.
• To prepare medical submissions.

Skills

• Basic knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology.
• Basic communication & interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge in reading doctors orders, frequency and disciplines.
• Ability to discuss information about patients, reach out to physicians & authorization follow up. 

Salary:

• 18k to 20k per month
• Performance incentives and rewards.
• 4K fixed hike after six months
• weekend Off (Saturday & Sunday)
• Only dayshift
