Job Description

You have an exciting opportunity to join Ripplehire as a Senior DevOps Team Lead - GCP Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and executing the cloud infrastructure strategy using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a particular focus on GKE, networking, and optimization strategies. As the Senior DevOps Team Lead, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing GCP-based infrastructure, optimizing GKE clusters for performance and cost-efficiency, establishing secure VPC architectures and firewall rules, setting up logging and monitoring systems, driving cost optimization initiatives, mentoring team members on GCP best practices, and collaborating with development teams on CI/CD pipelines. To excel in this role, you must possess extensive experience with GCP, including GKE, networking, logging, monitoring, and cost optimization. Additionally, you should have a strong background in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline design, container orchestration, troubleshooting, incident management, and performance optimization. Qualifications for this position include at least 5 years of DevOps experience with a focus on GCP environments, GCP Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer preferred), experience leading technical teams, cloud security expertise, and a track record of scaling infrastructure for high-traffic applications.
