Job Description
The ideal candidate for the Design Safety position should have expertise in identifying and managing potential HSE risks effectively. You should possess experience in the development of Design Safety Basis, prioritizing risk management measures, and understanding concepts such as Inherently Safer Design, Prevention, Control, Mitigation, and Emergency Response. Your key responsibilities will include providing safety engineering services throughout the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering phases of Fixed Offshore Platforms and Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSO) as the Lead HSE Engineer. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members to meet project HSE objectives. Additionally, you will support the department in creating and revising procedures and standards while also training and improving the skills of the HSE team. Your role will involve the preparation and review of various Safety Engineering deliverables, which includes Safety Concept, HSE Philosophy, Safety Design Basis, Fire Protection Philosophy, Loss Prevention Philosophy, Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Fire & Explosion Risk analysis (FERA), Emergency System Survivability Analysis (ESSA), Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA), among others. You will be responsible for tasks such as HSE Critical Equipment & Systems identification, ALARP implementation, HAZID/HAZOP/SIL Studies, Design Risk Analysis, Emergency Preparedness Analysis, Hazardous Area Classification, Ergonomic studies, and Escape Route Layout. Furthermore, you will be involved in Passive and Active Fire Protection Plans, PIPENET-Hydraulic Calculations, HSE reviews, audits, and reviewing safety-related documents from third parties and other engineering disciplines. Overall, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of the projects by implementing robust safety measures and protocols in line with industry standards and best practices.,
