Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer located in Chennai. The Design Engineer will be responsible for undertaking engineering projects, providing engineering services, and project planning. Daily tasks will include designing and executing chemical, slurry, and gas systems for semiconductor industries. Qualifications: Responsible for mechanical & piping design, implementation, design phases, installation, start up, implementation. Design calculations, Piping Material Specifications, different types of layouts, procurement activity for piping items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings, review of piping content for mechanical packages. Knowledge about 3D software packages - Solidworks Project schedule, basic design data, client specification, client standard drawings, existing drawings, and plot plan. Plan and organize piping engineering activities and manpower required for the project. Responsible for coordinating piping design and engineering activities with team, prepare piping information list and layout and document list following standard procedure created for the project. Preparation of the piping general specification inclusive of specification for piping arrangement, piping support standards. Interpret and evaluate stress/vibration analysis result and provides necessary recommendation on resolving the method of analysis. Checking and reviewing all work such as piping layout and information prepared by Engineers, 3D models, BQ and other deliverables of the project for compliance to project standards or specifications, applicable codes, contract requirements, quality standards and engineering and construction practices. Providing field engineering support/advice towards piping installation and testing at construction site. Carry out engineering support work during the construction phase of the project Degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in piping design, stress evaluation, production work, 3D model review, and construction engineering support Industry Semiconductor Manufacturing Employment Type Full-time ,
