Job Description
As a Design Engineer for Electrical Projects at our Pune, India location, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical layouts and schematics using AutoCAD software. Your primary focus will be on ensuring proper placement and routing of components and wiring in our various projects. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and checking design basis reports and cost estimation reports. You will also be tasked with creating comprehensive wiring diagrams for electrical equipment, power substations, and residential and commercial buildings in alignment with project objectives and engineering specifications. Additionally, you will perform calculations such as Electrical Load calculations, Transformers & DG sizing, cable sizing, Illumination design, Earthing & Lightning Protection, UPS & battery sizing, adhering to the latest Indian and international codes & standards. Furthermore, you will be responsible for generating detailed Single Line Diagrams for LV & HV systems, as well as preparing layouts for Cabling, Lighting, Power, Earthing & Lightning Protection. Your role will also involve the preparation of technical specifications & data sheets, conducting Technical Bid analysis, making Purchase recommendations, and reviewing vendor drawings of electrical equipment. In this position, you will collaborate with other disciplines, the Client, and the project management team to ensure effective coordination. It is essential to adhere to Quality Management procedures and safety standards while contributing to the standardization of documents and participating in proposals by estimating optimum effort. To excel in this role, you should have proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools, along with knowledge of 2D, 3D, SYMBOLS, and ELV. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in designing for electrical or construction projects. Excellent communication, time management skills, and technical competence are crucial for success in this position. Familiarity with the latest relevant Indian & international codes & standards and prior experience in IT Park or commercial building projects will be advantageous. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires in-person work.
