As a professional in this role, your primary responsibilities will include studying received drawings to confirm manufacturability, developing a plan to procure components with vendors within set time, cost, and quality objectives, preparing customer input requirements, conducting vendor analysis and rationalization for capacity assessment, ensuring material and tooling costs are within budgeted values, supporting pricing cell in cost estimation activities, coordinating effectively with the Design team for first-time-right delivery of products, conducting variance analysis at each development stage for Quality, Cost, and Delivery, implementing innovative approaches in cost reduction, assessing/negotiating investments for toolings/vendor aid, supporting vendor selection as per guiding policy, meeting Material Receipt Date targets, meeting Gateways as per Mahindra Product Development System targets, actively participating in project feasibility studies, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets for new products and improvements in existing products, and supporting STA counterpart in part development as per APQP process and Project timelines. Key knowledge and skills required for this role include familiarity with PPAP, New Part Development System (MP, EP, VP, PP), APQP, SPC, and Problem-solving techniques, Zero base costing, price negotiation, GD and T knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP MM module, proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and commercial knowledge on various taxation and Inco terms. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and hold a BE qualification. Industry-specific knowledge and a general understanding of the requirements of the role are also preferred qualifications.,
