Job Description

Deputy Manager - Sales and Marketing

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities- 

  • Align with business objectives to maximize the sale and revenue of the assigned Segment.  
  • Develop and defend the segmental pricing strategies of the assigned product                      
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence, manage customer relationships, identify upcoming trends and business opportunities                        
  • Tracking and reviewing sales opportunities, negotiate and conclude businesses as per company policy                        
  • Reviewing customer tenders and preparing bids, assess and highlight contractual risks. Liaise with stakeholders for timely execution of sales operations together with the support team and management.                        
  • Monitor stocks and take necessary measures for continuous evacuation of inventory                       
  • Keep track of changes in the global and local freight market (ocean and road). Manage and execute liquid vessel charterparty agreements                       
  • Develop and manage channel partner networks, as required. Mitigate any logistical, taxation or other issues for smooth distribution of products.                 
  • Adhering to departmental and functional SOPs in conjunction with all stakeholders  

Technology and IT Enablement- 

  • Perform UAT for new projects / systems, create and manage sales dashboards, monthly and daily MIS

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech (MBA desirable)

Work Experience (Range of years):

  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience in dry/liquid bulk vessel operations, sales and/or business development.
  • Preferred: 
    • In-depth understanding of the global and domestic fertiliser market and subsidy availment process. 
    • have handled dry/liquid bulk vessel cargoes with experience in inland/port logistics, rake movements and shipping operations with expert level knowledge of Incoterms. 
    • have understanding of commodity sale/purchase contracts and tenders. 
    • have experience in international sourcing/marketing, managing and developing channel partners. Knowledge of internal letters of credits and document negotiations.
