Job Description
As a Production Staff member at our facility in Sipcot, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, your primary responsibilities will include the following: - Ensuring effective manpower planning and availability to meet production requirements. - Acting as a Shift In-charge to oversee operations during designated shifts. - Cultivating positive relationships with operators to foster a harmonious work environment. - Taking ownership of rework and process rejection reduction, implementing effective countermeasures as needed. - Engaging in daily production planning and collaborating on short- and long-term planning initiatives. - Upholding safety practices and implementing safety devices to create a secure work environment. - Applying production concepts in the assembly process to reduce cycle time and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). - Coordinating with peers to address line issues and resolve problems efficiently. - Updating the daily production dashboard and conducting reviews with relevant team members for actionable insights. - Monitoring daily production output, validating rejection reports, and reviewing rework records. - Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and implementation would be beneficial. - Motivating and encouraging workmen to drive continuous improvement efforts. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include: - Productivity improvement - Rework and process rejection reduction - Achieving internal process rejection targets - PPM OEE improvement - Ensuring the prevention of major accidents - Motivating and encouraging workmen for continual improvement This role will involve direct reports to you as the Shift Incharge. To excel in this role, you should possess knowledge in: - Welding process - Yaskawa Robot teaching - MS-Office skills - Manpower handling - Communication skills - Presentation skills Qualifications required for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mech.) and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the automotive industry.,
