Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assisting dentists during dental procedures. Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Maintaining a comfortable environment for patients. Reassuring and supporting patients, especially those who are nervous. Providing pre- and post-operative instructions. Handling patient records and updating information. Administrative and Technical Tasks: Preparing materials for fillings and other treatments. Maintaining a clean and organized surgery. Managing materials and supplies. Processing radiographs and impressions. Assisting with dental laboratory work. Patient Communication and Education: Providing oral health information to patients. Communicating effectively with patients and dental staff. Educating patients about dental procedures. Professional Development: Maintaining professional standards and adhering to the GDC's code of ethics. Participating in continuing professional development (CPD). Skills and Qualities: Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
