Job Title: Debt Manager for Consumer Durable Financing
Location: Dahod (Gujarat)
Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:

The Debt Manager Consumer Durable is responsible for overseeing the collections and recovery of dues from customers who have availed financing for consumer durable products. The role involves managing a team of collection agents, ensuring timely recovery, maintaining portfolio health, and minimizing delinquency and credit losses in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management:
    Drive collections on the assigned portfolio of consumer durable loans. Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of overdue accounts.

  • Portfolio Monitoring:
    Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance. Track key metrics such as bucket-wise delinquency, roll forward, and cure rates.

  • Team Management:
    Supervise and support a team of collection executives or field agents. Assign targets, provide training, and conduct performance reviews.

  • Skip Tracing & Recovery:
    Coordinate skip tracing efforts for absconding customers. Liaise with legal and recovery teams for chronic default cases.

  • Customer Communication:
    Ensure regular contact with borrowers through phone, field visits, and written communication to resolve overdue payments.

  • Process Adherence:
    Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory guidelines (such as RBI norms), and ethical practices in debt collection.

  • Reporting & MIS:
    Prepare and share daily/weekly MIS reports on collection performance, delinquencies, and recovery actions.

  • Coordination:
    Work closely with internal stakeholders including credit, risk, and sales teams to resolve customer issues and improve asset quality.


Qualifications:

  • 2+years of experience in collections/recovery, preferably in consumer durable loans or retail finance

  • Experience in handling field collections and third-party collection agencies


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of retail lending products, especially consumer durable loans

  • Familiarity with collections tools, software, and skip tracing techniques

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage field teams and work under pressure

  • Basic understanding of legal recovery processes and compliance norms
