Job ID: SDS-DAR-0603 Database Architect Experience: 10+ years Positions: 3 Job Type: Full Time Location: Kolkata Job Mode: On Site Required Skill Set (Must Have) Understanding of various relational and non-relational database technologies along with their benefits, downsides, and best use-case. In-depth experience in configuring database replication on multiple versions. Strong experience in Monitoring, DB Performance Tuning, DB Availability, DR, Security, Storage Analyzing and providing recommendations to optimize database for improved performance, manageability, and scalability. Expertise in enterprise backups, recovery, and performing point in-time recovery Experience in deploying and integrating PMM tools Experience in data partitioning and encryption. Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices Relational and No-SQL DBs Understanding storage of Structured and Non Structured Data. Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications Design and implement effective mission-critical database solutions Conceptual, logical data models and physical database design using tools like Erwin, PGAdmin, Visio, UML Hands on experience and Proficient in SQL and procedural languages (i.e. PL/SQL, T-Sql, PL/PgSql) Understanding of Data warehousing, ETL processes, and Report Functions Database security, database hardening, data encryption at rest and at motion Implementing normalized and deformalized star and snowflake schema Desired Skill Set (Good to Have) Data migration knowledge- Homogenous and heterogeneous e.g. MongoDB to PostgreSQL with tools like Goldendale, Ora2PG. Database backup knowledge (physical and logical) and recovery strategies.
