The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple cross-functional global teams to deliver scalable data solutions. In this role, you will be expected to build scalable analytical frameworks to support product analytics for Uber's Customer Obsession Platform. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, operations, and various data teams to help create and execute the direction of the product roadmap. This includes scoping the business problem, providing a data lens to product design, owning the experimentation cycle to full global rollouts, and eventually impact estimation and long-term monitoring. Your responsibilities will also include proactively communicating insights and driving projects to achieve team goals. You will be tasked with ensuring data quality across critical pipelines and setting up processes to triage data issues. Additionally, you will build and maintain critical data pipelines, insight boards, and monitoring tools that help track metrics to measure and monitor platform health. The ideal candidate should have at least 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 1+ years of work experience with a Master's Degree in a data-focused role such as product analytics, risk analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science. An educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proven competency in statistical languages like SQL, SAS, R, and/or in modern programming languages like Python. Past experience with a Product/Tech/Analytics Services company serving businesses with millions of customers on multiple platforms and countries is desirable. Preferred qualifications include SQL mastery, experience in Python/R, Experimentation methods like A/B testing, and Statistical modelling. Experience in Customer Service related domains with a Product/Tech/Analytics Services company is a plus. The candidate should have the ability to handle and visualize large datasets, explore and utilize raw data feeds, and possess a love for data with the zeal to turn it into an insightful story. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to build a structured approach to problem-solving that leads to high-quality hypotheses. They should have a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit. Effective communication skills, proactive collaboration, independence, and autonomy while being a strong team player are essential qualities.
