Job Description We are looking for a highly experienced Data Platform Test Lead to lead the quality assurance efforts across our data engineering and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data testing, a deep understanding of data platforms, and hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing approaches. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for defining the test strategy, leading QA activities, and ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of data pipelines, data lakes, and analytics systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end testing initiatives for data platform components including ETL processes, data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. Define and implement test strategy, plans, and test cases for data validation, transformation logic, and platform performance. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure testing coverage. Design and execute tests to validate data quality, integrity, completeness, consistency, and reconciliation across multiple sources. Set up and maintain automated data testing frameworks and tools. Identify, document, and track defects and ensure timely resolution. Monitor test metrics and provide reporting on test execution progress and quality status. Support the continuous integration and deployment processes with test automation for data pipelines while driving adoption of data testing standards and contribute to data governance initiatives. Requirements Experience: 10+ years of experience in QA/testing with at least 3 years in data-focused testing roles. Proven experience testing large-scale data platforms. Experience in test automation and testing tools. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc and knowledge of ETL tools, data warehousing, and data lake solutions. Data Recon and DWH aggregation and data marts testing. Skills: Strong analytical and debugging skills. Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git, Airflow, or similar. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in open-source tech stack for testing data flows. QA Certifications Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data systems. Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and cataloging tools.
