As a data engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the fundamentals of data systems. You will develop the infrastructure to store, transform and process data at scale and in the cloud. You will ensure that data is stored securely with the technology that you see fit for the job. You will be working and learning from different environments, teams and industries.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A CONSULTANT AT XEBIA DATA

You will be working on projects of varying length. Some are two weeks, some are one year, most are in between.

Every project is different, as is every client. With your knowledge of software engineering, cloud, clusters, queues, containers, streaming or graphs, you will work on the backbone of the data infrastructure. There is a lot of data to store, a lot of jobs to execute and plan, and many configurations to be dealt with. But don’t worry, this is where you’ll thrive. It is not always easy, but it is always rewarding.  You'll work with the customer in teams mixed by Xebians and the client, and pick up work related to the backbone the team is building on.
