Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor server performance using monitoring tools. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching to ensure optimal functionality and security. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve server-related issues, including hardware and software problems. Troubleshoot complex problems, potentially involving collaboration with other IT teams. Document issues, resolutions, and network changes for future reference and knowledge sharing. Implementation and Optimization: Implement new server infrastructure and configurations, often collaborating with other engineers. Optimize server performance and resource utilization to enhance efficiency. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect server infrastructure. Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices. Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations and procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network engineers and database administrators, to ensure seamless system integration. Support and On-call: Provide technical support to other IT team members and end-users regarding server-related issues. Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support when needed. Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.) and cloud platforms. Proficiency in server hardware Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with network security best practices and security vulnerability scanning.,
