Job Description

You will be responsible for managing branching strategies, automating merge validations, and enforcing commit policies using Git. It will also be your responsibility to ensure build environments are set up effectively. You must have experience in building, optimizing, and managing CI/CD container images for CI/CD pipelines with Docker. Your role will involve automating and troubleshooting build environments, managing dependencies, and optimizing system performance for builds on Linux. Additionally, you will be developing and maintaining Bazel build configurations, optimizing caching, and ensuring reproducible builds. Proficiency in Python/Bash or any scripting language is required to automate CI/CD workflows for improved efficiency. In terms of behavioural skills, you should not expect every detail to be on a Jira story or task; instead, you should proactively seek clarification if something is unclear. Effective communication and collaboration are essential as you will need to clearly articulate technical issues, collaborate with various workstreams within the organization, and document processes efficiently. Problem-solving skills are crucial for quickly diagnosing and resolving build failures, CI/CD issues, and development environment challenges.
