Job Description
You will be responsible for the procurement and vendor management activities starting from the pre-contract phase to post-contract phase. In the pre-contract phase, your duties will include studying and evaluating drawings, specifications, and design basis reports to assess qualification, costing, and techno-commercial aspects. You will be required to conduct rate analysis of key items, prepare pre-tender estimates, and finalize the procurement strategy and contract packages. Additionally, you will be involved in finalizing the tender event schedule, selecting tenderers through pre-qualification, preparing and issuing tender documents, conducting tender evaluations and negotiations, obtaining management approval, and awarding contracts. Your role will also entail handling contract documentation. Moving into the post-contract phase, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely submission of bonds and insurances by the contractors. You will be required to assess variations, escalations, and issue change orders and amendments as necessary. Monitoring contracts, gathering feedback from the project, facilitating coordination between the contractor and project team to resolve contractual issues, and managing contract-related correspondence will be part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will be involved in the final reconciliation of the cost plan. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum qualification of B.Tech/B.E. with 10-13 years of experience in procurement and vendor management. Strong skills in procurement and vendor management, as well as knowledge in these areas, are essential for success in this role. This position is based in Bangalore.,
