Job Description
The job involves assessing the adequacy and relevance of internal control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance. You will report on the extent of compliance with these systems and provide reasonable assurance to the Audit Committee and Executive Council regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, the reliability of financial and management reporting, and compliance with laws and regulations. Additionally, you will conduct proactive fraud audits, participate in fraud investigations, and conduct post-investigation fraud audits. Your responsibilities will include preparing and administering an audit plan, capturing stakeholders" expectations, scheduling audits for geographical and risk coverage, and identifying data requirements for effective audits. You will be expected to write comprehensive reports, summarize major observations and action areas, ensure timely closure of audits, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure process closure. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing a team of officers, guiding them towards goal achievement, reviewing their performance, providing feedback and necessary training, and participating in the recruitment of team members. The ideal candidate should have a CA qualification on the first attempt and relevant post-qualification experience in internal audit.,
