Job Description

You will be responsible for preparing special meals or substitute items, regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, and pulling food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Your role will involve ensuring proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish, maintaining food logs, and monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared food. During busy periods, you will communicate assistance needed and inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials. Additionally, you will notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items, while upholding the quality of food items and following recipes and quality standards for food preparation. Cold food preparation will also be part of your duties. As part of the team, you will assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Your role will involve serving as a role model and adhering to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures. You will need to report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, complete safety training, and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Anticipating and addressing guests" service needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and developing positive working relationships with team members to achieve common goals will also be key. You must adhere to quality expectations and standards, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance are part of the job requirements. Additionally, you will be expected to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
