You will be part of the Contract Logistics team, utilizing your leadership expertise and skills to contribute to the delivery of Operational Excellence. As part of your role, you will be accountable for the overall performance of an operational site, which includes managing warehousing, customer service, and administration to achieve agreed financial and operational objectives. This involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, and could encompass distribution activities depending on the location. Your responsibilities will include: - Achieving key performance indicators (KPI) in safety, cost, quality, delivery, environment, and people. - Overseeing the safe operation of warehousing activities and ensuring appropriate skills and training are in place. - Ensuring all operational activities comply with external and internal requirements/standards. - Leading office and warehouse activities at the site, inspiring team members to learn and develop. - Driving activities related to customer on-boarding, retention, and operational excellence. - Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by introducing new initiatives for operational, service, and sustainable solutions. - Providing necessary information for tenders/proposals to facilitate the closure of new business. - Ensuring the delivery of appropriate transport solutions by all involved in distribution activities. To excel in this role, you should possess: - A minimum of 10 years of work experience in the freight forwarding industry. - Strong experience in Stakeholder Management, including handling customers, logistics suppliers, and teams. - Good communication skills. - Proficiency in IT.
