Job Description for Economic Substance profile:- Perform detailed review of all documentation and communications for assigned portfolio of clients in the context of economic substance requirements Demonstrate an ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the BVI Economic Substance Regime and application of that knowledge. Advising on and providing guidance on complying with economic substance legislation including: Advising directors in relation to the direction and management test Knowledge about the Core income-generating activities as per the Economic Substance Act Outsourcing obligation within the Act Adequate record-keeping for the companies that are obligated under the Act. Director's Obligation as per the Act End-of-year filing requirements and certifications Premises and person requirements Transaction monitoring and reporting requirements Analysis of existing business models for compliance with economic substance legislation as needed Keep abreast of all regulatory changes related to the Economic Substance regime. Filings with relevant statutory bodies as it relates to related to the economic substance requirements act. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2-5 years post-qualification senior financial services experience and legal experience, with a proven track record of advancement. Ability to read, interpret and communicate an understanding of legislation A good command of the English language as well as good verbal and written communication skills Strong client services experience . Commercial legal experience is a plus,
