Job Description

You will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, which includes portioning, chopping, and storing food. Additionally, you will wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and cook food according to recipes and quality standards. It will be your duty to prepare cold foods and operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. You will also need to test foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently and monitor food quality during preparation. Setting up and breaking down your work station, serving food in proper portions, and maintaining cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment will also be part of your responsibilities. You must adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to your manager. Completing safety training and certifications will be required. It is important to maintain a clean and professional appearance, keep confidentiality of proprietary information, and communicate clearly and professionally with others. Building and maintaining positive relationships with team members, supporting common goals, and responding appropriately to concerns of other employees are essential. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards, as well as being able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, reach, bend, twist, lift objects, and perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors are also part of the role. To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience.
