As a Commis II in our kitchen, you will be reporting to the Executive Chef, Exec. Sous Chef, Exec. Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, Jr Sous Chef, and Chef De Partie. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the kitchen by handling mis-en-place, daily order preparation, and maintaining a cohesive workflow. Your primary responsibilities include adhering to the hotel's mission statement, values, and rules, maintaining proper personal hygiene and attire, and completing mis-en-place tasks efficiently before each shift. In the absence of senior staff, you will be required to make decisions regarding specific work operations and ensure the cleanliness of your work area and storage spaces according to established standards. Effective coordination with your co-workers is crucial to facilitating a seamless workflow in kitchen operations. You will be responsible for preparing daily guest orders and providing assistance in various kitchen functions as needed.
