Job Description

You will be responsible for preparing special meals or substitute items and regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. It will be your duty to pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator and ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. You are expected to maintain food logs, monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food, and communicate any assistance needed during busy periods. Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials and notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Additionally, you will be in charge of ensuring the quality of food items and preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. You will also be required to prepare cold foods. Your role will involve assisting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees. You will serve as a role model and follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures. It is important to report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and complete safety training and certifications. You must ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional while maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. Anticipate and address guests" service needs and communicate clearly and professionally with others. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with team members, supporting common goals, and responding appropriately to employees" concerns will be essential. Adhering to quality expectations and standards, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors are also part of your responsibilities.
