Job Description

The role of Commercial and Infrastructure Head at our organization's CSR Arm for a reputed Group entails overseeing the central office operations, specifically focusing on the procurement function. Your responsibilities include setting up and managing the central office, establishing infrastructure, resources, and systems for effective operation, and designing office processes to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and alignment with the organization's objectives. As the Commercial and Infrastructure Head, you will lead administrative, operational, and financial management functions for the central office. Your role involves developing and implementing a robust procurement strategy that supports organizational goals, ensuring value for money. This includes managing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and contract negotiation to vendor management and compliance. Additionally, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service levels. Working closely with various departments, you will identify procurement needs, offer sourcing guidance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, such as suppliers, donors, and regulatory bodies, is also crucial. Collaboration with program managers and other departments to understand their operational and procurement requirements, providing necessary support, and acting as a liaison between the central office and regional offices or field operations for alignment and coordination are key aspects of this role. Budgeting oversight for all offices and centers across India, monitoring and managing the procurement budget for cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational priorities, as well as conducting regular audits of procurement processes to maintain compliance and enhance efficiency are vital responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required, while a Master's degree or professional certification (such as CPM, CPSM, or PMP) is highly desirable. You should have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement and office management, preferably in the non-profit or social sector, with strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills, in-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices, and a solid financial acumen for managing budgets and optimizing costs are essential for this role.,
