Job description Role: Data Engineer - CockroachDB Experience Level: 6 to 10 years Location: Toronto, Canada / Kolkata, India / Remote (India) Key Responsibilities: CockroachDB Architecture: Design, build, deploy, test, and administer the orchestration and service architecture for CockroachDB Cloud, the company's database-as-a-service platform. Service Reliability: Collaborative Development: Work closely with designers and engineers to develop and implement features that simplify database observability for end-users, improving performance and usability. Scalability & Survivability: Ensure the DBaaS remains scalable, survivable, and reliable even as the platform experiences rapid growth and expansion. Infrastructure Management: Manage and oversee infrastructure for cloud observability services, including running internal production systems for CockroachDB. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong expertise in CockroachDB or similar distributed databases. Proven experience in designing and deploying cloud-native architectures and distributed systems. Experience with cloud infrastructure and observability tools. Proficiency in scripting and automation, ensuring reliability and scalability of services.,
