Job Description

Job Brief We are looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Centre Director to oversee the day-to-day activities of our childcare centre and ensure that local, state, and federal childcare requirements are met. Roles and Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to a team of teachers and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Set and communicate clear expectations for staff performance. Supervise and support staff in their professional development. Curriculum and Educational Programs: Oversee the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Ensure that all educational programs align with relevant early childhood education standards. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary improvements. Operations Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, enrolment, and parent communication. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized preschool environment. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Financial Management: Develop and manage the centre's budget. Monitor expenses, revenue, and financial performance. Seek opportunities to increase enrollment and revenue. 5. Parent and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families. Foster community partnerships and outreach efforts to enhance the centre's reputation. 6. Staff Development: Recruit, hire, and train teaching and support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback. Develop professional growth plans for staff members. 7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to enrolment, attendance, and curriculum. Prepare reports for the board and stakeholders as required. Required Candidate profile: 2+ years experience working with children in a classroom setting. Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, hand-held device skills, word processing, and spreadsheets.
