You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, supervision, and regular inspection of all mechanical equipment and systems in the Caster area of a Steel Manufacturing Industry located in Hazira. Your role will involve taking immediate action in case of abnormalities to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity. Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include: Planning & Operations: - Taking full ownership of CSP and Slab Caster mechanical systems to enhance equipment reliability. - Managing running equipment breakdowns to meet targeted production goals. - Performing preventive maintenance according to assigned PM groups. - Conducting root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns. Infrastructure Support: - Demonstrating working knowledge of caster equipment, systems, and maintenance processes. - Applying preventive and predictive maintenance practices and handling SAP-based documentation. - Following standard maintenance procedures during job execution. Safety & Environment Orientation: - Communicating health, safety, and fire hazards associated with mechanical jobs. - Identifying hazards, taking corrective actions, and promoting safe work practices. - Ensuring the effective implementation of the Work Permit System and LOTOTO protocols. Functional Skills required for this role include: - Understanding of the basic steelmaking process. - Knowledge of hydraulics, lubrication, and pneumatic systems. - Spares and inventory management. - Awareness of water/media systems and emergency controls. - Ability to read engineering drawings and P&ID circuits.
