Job Summary Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, managing the cash register, and ensuring a smooth and friendly checkout process. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and respond to inquiries or concerns. Accurately process customer orders using the POS (Point of Sale) system. Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and issue receipts or change. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station. Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensure prices and menus are up to date and reflect on the system. Communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff regarding orders. Assist with takeout or delivery orders when needed. Handle customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager. Follow all restaurant policies and health/safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, honest, and professional attitude.
