Job Description
As a Data Platform Engineer at Colgate-Palmolive Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of a data-driven culture within the organization. Your responsibilities will include supporting, monitoring, and setting governance around various visualization tools to enhance data visualization capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to identify and prioritize features based on customer needs and business value. Your ability to work independently and within a team environment will be essential in successfully fulfilling your role. Key Responsibilities: - Supporting all existing tools within the organization. - Collaborating with partners, including Executives, Developers, and Data Engineers, to address Visualization platform-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs. - Creating and updating documentation for architectural governance and supporting tools. - Educating users on standard methodologies and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization. - Recommending and evaluating new tools or technologies to enhance current architecture and design. - Responding to support tickets, solving issues, and maintaining existing visualization tools for improved usability and performance. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. - 2 to 3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as DOMO, Sigma, Google Studio, Tableau, and Smartsheet. - Strong communication skills and ability to foster collaboration with different functional teams. - Capability to simplify complex problems and provide customers with straightforward solutions. Preferred Qualifications: - Technical platform knowledge and understanding of business processes to effectively engage with team members. - Experience with data warehousing technologies and methodologies. - Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
